About Joe...
Joe Corso is our full time island
artist. He is an Ohioan, familiar with the Lake Erie shore, born in Sandusky.
Joe studied art at The Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating
he worked in Indianapolis for several years designing theatrical sets and
costumes. After moving back to Ohio he wanted to regain a sense of peace in his
life and spend more time in nature so he started spending summers on the island
painting. And to our luck, he has returned nine times. Here he found a home away
from the city, the noise, telephones, and e-mail.
Joe is well known for his Kelleys Island landscapes and historic home paintings,
but he has done portraits, boats, airplanes and family pets. You can be sure you
will see him out and about during your island visit. Along with his painting he
offers a Kelleys Island Calendar and Blank Greeting Cards with island
naturescapes.
