About Sally…
Sally always had a creative spirit. She has
worked extensively in various mediums including
porcelain and ceramics as well as exploring
textiles by creating beautiful cross stitch
pieces. Her level of expertise allowed her to
be certified to teach porcelain art (china
painting) as well as instructing classes in
ceramics. Several years ago her interests
turned to warm glass (fusing). Her travels took
her to Virginia where she studied advanced
fusing techniques. PMC (Precious Metal Clay)
was in its infancy and Sally fell in love with
the medium and the possibilities of combining it
with her warm glass too create beautiful and
unusual pieces of jewelry. She received her
level I and II PMC certifications in Chicago,
which encouraged her passion for the beauty of
these two mediums to become a business. Sally
currently creates her pieces in a studio
attached to her home on Kelleys Island where she
has the opportunity to photograph the beautiful
sunrises from her living room overlooking
beautiful Lake Erie. She has also partnered
with a wire wrap artist on the island who
‘wraps’ some of Sally’s dichroic pieces creating
a deceptively simple and different look.
Sally is available by appointment for an
informal showing
of her pieces at her studio.
