Kelleys Island February Bird Census
Saturday, February 9, 2002

This was the warmest February census to date but birds seemed confused. We had early migrants like American Woodcock, Red-winged Blackbirds, Common Grackles, and American Robins but Northern Flickers and Horned Larks were coming in off the lake from the north. Some one must know something and they aren't telling the others. Participants included Tom Bartlett, Brian Barchus, Jim Coffman, and Sandy Tkach.
