The Kelleys Island monthly
bird census was conducted today by Tom Bartlett, Vic Fazio,
Shane Roberts, and Sandy Tkach.
Strong westerly then
northwesterly winds all day made birding tough. Things were
quiet (bird-wise) even for a February count. Three species
were added to the list of species observed on February
counts since 1998. Those were Double-crested Cormorant,
Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and Eastern Towhee.
